I've not posted much this week.
Fire and wine
It's Christmas time and I'm sans hubby and the girl-child. As used to we are to not having hubby home it's a first not having the girl-child around for Christmas and the Xman and I are a bit at a loss even though we're spending this time with our extended family.

No matter how hard we try it's hard to keep up the good cheer at times. Such has our lives been with hubby more often than not away at sea and the 3 of us celebrating alone but even knowing that doesn't necessarily make us feel any better. The girl-child is spending Christmas with the boyfriend's family and the logistics of getting everyone together just defeated me to such a point that i gave up on it. Hence the fact that she is spending Christmas in Cape Town and we're spending it on the West Coast.

There's a blog on this topic brewing once I get time to gather my thoughts. In the meantime we're determined to make the most od the festive time. I hope you are too. I witnessed an amazing sunset over the Bergriver earlier tonight and we've enjoyed a braai with the grandparents. Lekker!!
