Everytime I see this tree I stand in awe of its resilience. It grows not in the sand but on top of it right on the beach with seemingly no nourishment for its roots.
Exposed to the elements and the waves at high tide. Yet it survives. Day after day. Month after month and year after year.
Could we but be this resilient against the onslaught of life.
