Adding another Canada coin to my collection. This is a bigger coin with 1 1/2 oz of four 9s silver. King of the frozen lands has to be the polar bear.

From nashvillecoingallery.com

The Royal Canadian Mint has a long history of producing silver coins depicting a wide variety of animals native to Canada, always in stunning detail, and these hefty 1.5 oz .9999 fine silver Polar Bear coins are no expection! These beautiful coins feature the classic portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the obverse, along with the date and the denomination of $8 CAD, while the reverse boldly displays a massive polar bear walking in the snow, along with the country and the coin’s .9999 fine silver purity. These coins are backed by the Canadian government with a face value of $8 CAD.

I would like to track down as many of the different animals that Canada has put on coins. I’m sure the number of coins I would have to collect is crazy though. I’m bidding on a falcon one. It’s more than 1 oz as well.

Take a look! Do you like the polar bear!
