We took the kids up to Idaho today to see what some call the "Niagara falls of the west". Shoshone falls was pretty cool see. The kids wanted to go down and play in them. These falls are on the Snake river. With the drought and some water being diverted to other parts of the state they are much smaller than usual.

Take a look at the pics I grabbed.

If you look close you can see some kayakers down on the water. With the deep canyon you have to kayak about 2 hours from a entry point to make it to the falls. I think I will try an make this trip happen next year again and have my wife drop me off and kayak up to the falls. Looks super fun and like a good challenge.

There were tons of streams everywhere and we just played in them so the kids could get wet. They loved the small streams more than the huge waterfall.
