Challenge Accepted / その挑戦、受けましょう！

My youngest daughter, who is 11 years old, has been showing an interest in drawing like my oldest daughter did at her age. I don’t know how they do it but they both watch something on YouTube or Netflix while they draw. She prefers learning and figuring out on her own though, so I need to be careful not to give her too much directions and advice. She can get easily discouraged.
She was drawing her latest favourite character, Link, from the game The legend of Zelda on paper for a while. She was struggling to draw his eyes so I showed her how to draw eyes. She didn’t like that haha.

Anyways...then I noticed that she was drawing something on her Samsung tablet with her finger just the other day. I actually downloaded MediBang on her tablet for her and showed her what she could do with it last summer but she showed no interest.
Now all of the sudden, she downloaded ibis paint and she is learning to draw digital on her own. She is having so much fun drawing and she can’t seems to stop. Although, she is difficult, she won’t even let me tell her how layers works or how to stabilize the pen strokes.
I would think asking me or her sister is easier and faster. I would love to have someone beside me and teach me how to draw but I guess that is not the case for her. She is learning all by herself with the help of internet. I’m very proud of her though. I hope she keeps learning.

Here are some of her drawings she created in the last 3 days. She is trying different brushes, different layer settings, clipping and masking...

我が家の次女ちゃん、11月に11歳になりましたが、お姉ちゃんと同じで、これまたお絵描きが好きなのです。最近、特によく描いているところを見かけますが、二人ともYoutubeやNetflixで何かを見ながら描きます（理解できん）。違うのは次女ちゃんは何でも誰かに教わるのが嫌いなこと。私が口を出すと機嫌を損ねるどころか、全くやらなくなるので気をつけないといけません。
少し前に、大好きなゲーム、ゼルダの伝説のキャラクターを描いていて、目を描くのに苦労していた様なので、描き方を見せると嫌な顔をされました。アドバイスなんて全く聞かなくて面倒な娘です。まあ本人には本人がイメージして描きたいものがあるのでしょうね。それを紙の上に形に出来なくて苦労している様ですが、悩め悩めぇ〜〜〜、笑
イメージしたものを上手く描けないのは私も同じで、これを若いうちに出来るようになったら将来楽しみだなぁ〜

さてさて、そんな次女ちゃん、先日突然、Samsungのタブレットでお絵描きを始めました。実は昨年の夏に、MediBangをダウンロードして、こんなことが出来る、あんなことが出来ると教えたのですが無視されて...それを突然、MediBangじゃなくて、自分でibis paintをダウンロードして、、、ひねくれてるのか？、、、スタイラスペンがあるのに指で描いてます。絶対にひねくれてる、笑
でも描くのが面白くてやめられない様子です。
線がヨレヨレなので補正の仕方やレイヤーの使い方を教えようとすると、また嫌な顔をされました。そばにいる人に教えてもらう方が早いと思うのだけど、自分で使い方を検索して描いています。
感心感心。続けてくれると嬉しいです。

下の写真はこの3日間で描いたもの。色んなブラシや、レイヤー、クリッピング機能、マスキング機能など、自分で調べて試しながら描いています。

She insisted that she prefers her finger to draw but I gave her the thick tip stylus pen anyway. She is having a hard time admitting that it works better than her finger but I think she likes it. Haha she is so difficult. I might get her a fine tip stylus that works for her tablet.

指の方が描きやすいと言うのですが、スタイラスペンを渡しておきました。ペンの方が描きやすいとは認めないのですが、気に入ってくれた様子、笑
ペン先の細いスタイラスペンを買ってあげようかなと思います。

She said she was pumping out her art like crazy then she came to me with a challenge.
“Lets draw Venom!” She said. She’s been drawing Venom on paper with a pencil over and over. She hasn’t seen the movie but she said it’s easy to draw and it impresses people.
Alright, the challenge is accepted. I haven’t seen the movie either but that is Ok. I’ve got some references. So let’s draw Venom!

The photo below is one of the sketches of Venom I found in my daughter’s sketchbook. It’ll be a challenge to draw this the same on digital. I don’t know how this is easy to draw but it’ll be fun and we’ll learn some new skills for sure.

そして、タブレットに描くのが楽しくて仕方のない次女ちゃん、デジタルを始めたばかりなのに私にチャレンジしてきました。
ヴェノム　チャレンジ！　次女ちゃん、映画は観たことがないのですが、ヴェノムを何度も何度も紙に描いています。簡単だし描くと皆んながわぁ〜すごいって言ってくれるので嬉しいのだとか。
その挑戦お受けしようじゃありませんか！私も映画は観たことがないですが、元絵はGoogleさんからいただきました。
コンテストではないので賞金は出ませんが、描いてみうかなと思った方いましたらぜひぜひ描いて記事にして、下にリンクを貼ってください。次女ちゃんも喜ぶと思います。
