I started drawing this for the drawing contest hosted by Hive Gaming Community but I couldn’t finish it on time 😭
The contest required you to make a drawing of your own version of your favourite game character.
Well, I love “Animal Crossing”. I have quite a few favourite characters from this game but there is one character that always reminds me of a human character. It is Flick.
The characters in this game are all animal except the players. I thought it would be fun to draw a character as human.
Flick is a red chameleon who visit the animal crossing island randomly. He loves bugs and he buys bugs from the player for a good price.

コンテストは好きなゲームのキャラクターを自分風に描くというものです。
私は “あつまれどうぶつの森“ が大好きです。大好きなキャラクターはたくさんいますが、中でもFlickは、、、おっと、フリックは日本語版のどうぶつの森ではレックスというそうです。レックス（Rex）は英語版のどうぶつの森ではライオンで、、、日本語版の名前はサンデーで、、、ややこしいな、笑
Flick/レックスは虫が大好きな赤いカメレオンです。ときどき遊びに来てプレイヤーが捕まえた虫を買ってくれます。
このゲームではプレーヤー以外は動物なのですが、私にはFlick/レックスがイケメンパンクボーイに見えます、笑
良い機会なので描いてみることにしました。

Anyways, I started with my messy sketch as usual. The sketch was so messy. I had to clean up quite a bit before I could make it into lineart.
I imagined him as a punk kid with red soft...but spiky hair. I thought about giving him some tattoos but I didn’t.
さてさて、いつものようにごちゃごちゃした下書きから始めます。あまりにごちゃごちゃし過ぎていたので線画にたどり着くのに時間がかかりました。
ふわふわつんつんレッドヘアイケメンパンクボーイ、笑
タトゥーを入れようかなとも思ったのですが、やめました。
I didn’t want to make it semi-realistic this time, so I coloured it roughly and kept the lineart.
厚塗り、セミリアルにはしたくなかったので、今回はざっくり色を塗って線画は残しました。
It was really fun drawing Flick as human. I might draw some other characters from Animal Crossing as human ;)
