Hello Dear,
I know, I know, you are so excited; you'll soon be done with secondary school, you can't wait!
I see you all excited yet you refuse to study. Not good.
The future is tough, and practicing your studying habits will go a long way in helping you. But I doubt you'd listen.

Listen, you see Dad? Enjoy his presence, soak up his advises, listen to him more, learn his strengths, forget those romance novels, they are all lies, reality is more fun, trust me.
Dad will die by December, just months after you are done with school, and you will see another angle to life. I'm sorry.
Because of your bad studying habits you'll have to wait for five years before you get into the University. But that's not so bad, if only you'll use those years productively. Learn something, a trade, a skill, something other than those romance novels tell you.
It's a good thing you are not moved by guys yet, a very good thing, keep it up, but you should be open to learning new things.
You have great potential, but for some reason, you fail to build on it.
I wish I knew all these things I tell you. And hey, don't change your mind, study computer science. It's tough but it will make you more relevant in future.
If only these things I say will be taken seriously by you, but I know you. You have gone to your happy place, shutting me out, just like you shut everyone who tries to show you how to get better.
Those novels will put you into trouble because you will soon lose touch with reality.
Oh well! I tried.
But always remember, you can overcome anything. Anything. You'll soon find out that you made a lot of mistakes, but the good thing is that you will begin to make restitution. You will begin to excel, despite your mistakes. You may seem like a late bloomer because the you will be beautiful when you finally blossom... Into a writer.
Well I guess those romance novel earned you something. You learn to string a good story together.
But I wish you would be more serious with study. sigh
Always protect your smile, and never leave God's side. He's presence is the only certain thing you'll find.
Finally, you'll be fine. You'll struggle, you'll cry, you'll scream, you'll even curse, but somehow, like the strong woman you are becoming, you'll be fine.
PS: I love you.
This is my entry for the contest by @cadawg; talking to your 16 year old self.
