Text: “For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.” Gen 13:15
If you look at the previous verse before the one we quoted above God instructed Abraham to look northward, southward, eastward and westward. Then God concluded that everything he saw will be given to him and his seed forever. I strongly believe that this was more than a physical exercise. There was little that the physical eyes could have seen. What Abraham saw was far beyond the physical eyes. His imagination was deployed to see beyond his immediate environment.
What we see determines what we can possess. God have so much in store for us. But what we are able to see out of all he has packaged for us will determine how much of it we can take advantage of. It’s so important that we see beyond where we are and what we are presently. Don’t be limited by your present state in life. It’s never a definition of how far you can go and what you can become. I strongly believe that this is the lesson that God was teaching Abraham. For him to go beyond where he was he had to see beyond where he was. Don’t forget that we are not talking about what we see with the physical eyes, but what we see with the inner eyes. A blind person could be seeing more than someone whose optical eyes are wide open. This “sight” takes place in our minds.
See that your path is a shining light, shinning brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. See that there is a way for you where there seems to be no way. See that God’s plans and purpose are coming to pass in your life in spite of the challenges around your life. Let the promises of God’s word consume your imagination. There is no crime in dreaming big. Look to the north, south, east and west. Spread your thinking and see the realities of God’s word coming to pass in your life.
CONFESSION:
I see progress in my life. I see the lines fallen unto me in pleasant places. I see possibilities in everything I do, you can as well make these same declaration into you life and Almighty God will bring it to pass, all you need to do is to believe in his word.
