The gospel is from the Greek word "evangelion" which means good tidings or good message.
It is sin that lead to sickness, poverty and death. Christ took our place of sin and death and He has given us the power to overcome sin and to receive internal life. That is the good news. That good message(goodnews) Jesus ask His disciple to go into the world and preach, the goodnews can be summarized by the acronym GOSPEL, which means:
G - God loves you [John 3:16]
O - Only Jesus can save you [Acts 4:12]
S - Sinners will be saved if they repent [Rom. 6:13]
P - Pray and receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour [John 1:12]
E - Expect God to forgive you [1 John 1:9,10]
L, - Live a holy and victorious life by faith [psalm 119:9]
By confessing Christ as our lord and saviour, we can receive the internal life of victory on earth, and live the same divine life of Christ
