More Decentralization
As is usually the case things take a slow march toward decentralziation. @smooth's latest post seems to be getting great support for dialing back the HBD stabilizer, and is encouraging other people to run HBD stabilizers if they are interested in further funding going toward that end. Cutting the proposal by 90% to no longer be the defacto return proposal. This will allow at least HiveBuzz to achieve funding, and might encourage more development and marketing proposals to be submitted.
The algorithm is open source for the stabilizer and one of the things that it's fairly good at is creating returns via Hive Mechanisms. This could mean additional proposals could provide not only liquidity, but a funding mechanism for proposals as well.
Imagine with me for a few minutes: Put out a funding proposal and claim it will benefit the community at large. Instead of direct payments from the DHF to a developer or marketing account, the funds are used to provide liquidity first, average a little gain... but not a big deal if it takes a little loss providing that trust and liquidity, and then funds get paid to Developers.
I've long been vocal that the HBD stabilizer could be built to a multi-sig wallet using Honeycomb. This could be a development direction once some SPK network things get better aligned. It would be nice to give more usable and safer options than just the algo.
