Good news about "ozone hole"
NASA has confirmed a shrinkage in the ozone hole and attributed the improvement to chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) blocking measures, with a rapid decline in levels of chlorine in the Earth's atmosphere.
Satellite images last year confirm humanity's progress and hope that the hole will be fully filled by 2060, as harmful matter decomposes for decades.
In the meantime, it was not clear whether the recovery in the ozone hole was a result of the Montreal Protocol, signed by all the countries of the world in 1985 to prevent the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
Satellite observations revealed a 20 percent reduction in chlorine levels in 2005 in the Earth's atmosphere.
The ozone layer helps to protect the earth from the useless sunlight, which can cause cancer, as well as disrupt the human immune system and normal life.
