Over the past few years, I've visited more than a dozen Snoopy pop-up stores and seen all kinds of Snoopy merchandise. I've watched fans carefully picking out their favorite items, and I've also seen scenes where people rushed to grab limited-edition products before they sold out. I've been to tiny stores selling just a handful of premium items, as well as huge pop-up stores occupying an entire floor. Although I'm not exactly a die-hard Snoopy fan, I've certainly learned quite a bit from these visits.

The pop-up store I visited this time was one of the few that featured a giant capsule toy machine. Each turn cost NT$300, and the smaller prizes were mostly little items such as plush keychain dolls, coin purses, and cosmetic bags. The grand prize was a shopping trolley decorated with Snoopy designs. Not only was it practical, but it was also quite unique. Lately, I've often seen people bringing shopping trolleys to exhibitions. They can browse around, pick up things they want to buy, put everything in the trolley, and simply pull it along. It's certainly much easier than carrying shopping bags around all day. No wonder it's the grand prize! The store also offered lucky bags for NT$500 each. Surprisingly, they didn't seem to be selling very well. I noticed a whole pile of them stacked up in a corner of the store. From what I've seen, lucky bag promotions usually attract quite a lot of enthusiastic buyers. After all, Snoopy is such a popular character, so why weren't these lucky bags selling?

A fairly large section of the store was dedicated to clothing, where quite a few female shoppers were busy browsing, touching the fabrics, and checking out the designs. It seemed that these products had a strong appeal to women. I've often heard people joke that there's always room for one more piece of clothing in a woman's wardrobe. It's not necessarily because they don't have enough clothes to wear, but perhaps because they get tired of their old outfits or simply want something more fashionable. Besides, women's clothing sometimes seems relatively affordable, making it easier to justify buying a few extra pieces. Anyway, judging by what I saw, some female Snoopy fans were probably going to spend quite a bit of money here!

Interestingly, according to recent statistics, cat lovers now outnumber dog lovers in Taiwan, and the number of pet cats has actually surpassed that of pet dogs. There are reportedly around 1.74 million pet cats, compared with 1.46 million pet dogs. Younger people seem to have an even stronger preference for cats. I wonder whether Snoopy, being a dog himself, will continue to enjoy the same popularity as before in this increasingly cat-loving society?
