What Would Happen If “The Purge” Became Reality in the Modern World?

I'll start off with the meaning of the word purge
I will briefly state purge is essentially said to be when the world for a day isn't abiding in any law and everyone is free to commit any crime they want and get away with it free without any consequence.

So what do you think would happen if the purge happened in the world right now....here are my thoughts.....
Imagine that playing out globally, where this one night of free-for-all lawlessness was dropped into an already war-torn world with political unrest and economic depressions. The results would be even more catastrophic output in both humans lost and the global social and political structure.

• A TOTAL BREAKDOWN OF SOCIAL ORDER:
  The most immediate consequence would be a massive breakdown of social order. The rule of law keeps the state apparatus from falling apart. The only reason individuals continue to live without laws and the enforcement of laws is because humans are inherently creatures driven by ceremony, tradition and ritual. The hardest decisions had to be made: will they have to fight, run or make it fortitied and secure. Crime in those countries already battling with economic problems would increase tenfold. Now, consider the nations fighting civil strife now such as Sudan, Afghanistan or Venezuela — places where law enforcement is already lacking in resources. The Purge would likely send these societies to the edge of collapse, if not outright tip them over due to all those underlying tensions.

• The Poor Will Die First, Linked to Class Warfare and Inequality Exposed –
  Wealthy homeowners in the Purge films are usually equipped with high-tech security installations that keep them isolated from everyone else. The unfortunate is thrown under the bus, leading to a single night of class congress bathed in blood. This would be a logical extreme in the global Purge scenario.
  Look at the whispering move into "tech bro" mansions in Silicon Valley, opulent palaces in Dubai, or stately homes of London elites. Individuals would be able to secure their compounds and/or flee the country during such an event. Meaning billionaires like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and friends would hightail it to some private island or fortified bunker outside of town… when the vast majority of people are simply left behind. On the other hand, nearly every urban center — especially in poorer nations or poor parts of wealthy countries would go up with violence and looting. Poverty, the #1 reason behind poor diet and thus obesity will be exacerbated as society would become increasingly divided with ever-growing issues of inequality.

• The Role of Governments and World Leaders-
  World leaders would be placed in impossible positions. Should they participate in the Purge themselves? Should they try to enforce some semblance of order? Or, perhaps most disturbingly, would they use this event as a political tool to rid themselves of rivals and dissenters?Take, for example, authoritarian regimes like those in Russia, North Korea, or China. Leaders like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un, and Xi Jinping might use the Purge as a means of consolating power. In such a scenario, political dissidents, journalists, and opposition figures could be targeted without fear of legal repercussions. The Purge would offer an opportunity for these regimes to silence critics in a way that might be seen as “legal” during the lawless period.

• Global Conflicts and Power ShiftsThe international ramifications of a global Purge would be significant. During this 12-hour window, nations might attempt to settle disputes by launching attacks without fear of international law or retaliation from organizations like the United Nations. Tensions between countries could lead to military conflicts, as the suspension of law might be interpreted by some as an opportunity to strike.

  in today's world, the consequences would be dire on every level. Social order would collapse, governments would use the chaos to further their agendas, the poor and vulnerable would suffer disproportionately, and international conflicts could escalate into full-blown wars. The psychological and social fallout would be long-lasting, creating a world that is more divided and violent than ever before. This dystopian scenario, once confined to the realm of fiction, serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of law, order, and empathy in maintaining a functioning society.
