With the most recent update in PUBG Mobile, a ton of new content, features and modes were featured to keep the game fresh and engaging. But its ongoing lags, bugs and camping in the battle royale mode have led to some frustrations among players.

Key Updates in PUBG Mobile:

The new update introduced:

    1. New Maps and Modes – added fresh maps and events giving players a sneak peek at the different terrains and gameplay variations.
    1. Changes to Some Weapons and Vehicles: Our buffs and nerfs to these elements will affect gameplay.
    1. Cosmetic Skins and EventsThe update introduced more skins, outfits, bundles, and limited-time events to the game for monetising purposes and providing an aesthetic look.

Player Frustrations:

However, they are still offering the game even after various updates and other such fixes which have disturbed entire gaming experience. Here's why:

    1. Lags and Poor Optimization:

Frequent hitches have been a massive headache, particularly for mid-range or older players. The game requires massive RAM despite the device, causing a slow standard gaming experience result in frequent FPS losses, freezes the screen and impossible driving.

High ping or connection problems on the server side also destroy real-time combat and movement.

    1. Bugs and Glitches:

Among the reported bugs players are experiencing are instances of sudden game crashes, graphical anomalies, and inconsistent hit detection. These bugs interrupt the flow of gameplay, in turn making a game feel less polished, and comes fairly off-putting to both the casual neighbour, as well as competitors.

  • 3.Battle Royale Mode Camping:

Camping, wherein players just find a corner and sit there until someone comes along, has become quite the annoying trend in battle royale modes. While a valid strategy, it breeds boring passiveness. Campers lying in wait to methodically take down these high-speed targets usually leave players who enjoy a faster-paced, action filled bout very unhappy.
Impact on Player Retention:

The combination of technical issues and camping creates a poor experience for many players, causing some to either quit or look for alternatives. Although the core mechanics of PUBG Mobile remain strong, these issues are gradually affecting its player base.

To retain players, developers need to focus more on bug fixes, performance optimization, and balancing the gameplay experience, especially in battle royale mode, to keep it exciting and fair.
