When I first arrived in Adelaide in 2005. there were not too many bicycle riders in town. You could see few people on a bike here and there. As time went by and Tour Down Under become more popular a number of cyclists grew exponentially. This year's Tour Down Under started on 14th of January under scorching heat (above 40 degrees Celsius) but that didn’t stop competitors or visitors to really enjoy the event.
Now you can see bike riders everywhere, Adelaide is becoming small Holland. This was the inspiration for the whole series of photos and whenever I see someone on bike Queen’s song pops up in my head: “I want to ride my bicycle...I want to ride my bike.”
I edited all of these photos using black and white pinhole effect. Pinhole gives more structure and dimension to photos, make them more dramatic and punchy. If you don’t know how to get this look in editing process this is how you do it:
You can additionally raise or drop down the exposure of the photo, depending on what effect you want to achieve. You will be amazed by the results. Even very boring photos can be glorified after applying the pinhole.
I hope I helped you at least a little bit with this explanation. If you want to share your pinhole editing results please feel free to post them in your comments, I would really love to see them!
