It was another amazing experience engaging in the MCGI lessons. In our walk with God, it is very important that we devote ourselves to carrying out His will. Our Christian race is not complete if we neglect God's will. In our day-to-day lives, the will of God should be at the center of our hearts.
That's why when reciting the Lord's prayer, there's a line that says "thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." The will of God is actually more important than anything we can think of. The will of God should be as important as the food we eat. The book of John 4:34 explains this better. It says:
John 4:34 - Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Jesus in all his supremacy knew how important carrying out the will of God, his father, was. His entire time spent on earth was for the purpose of fulfilling the will of his father, and not His. Even when he hung on the cross and cried out to His father to relieve Him of His suffering, He still acknowledged the fact that the will of God was what mattered the most.
We carry out God's will effectively when we keep it in our hearts. One of the ways we keep the will of God in our hearts, is by going through His word. Romans 10:17 sheds light on this. We need to feel our ears and our minds with the word of God. It's impossible to know the will of God when you don't take out time to go through His word.
Part of God's will is our assistance towards the poor and needy. We are expected extend love and care towards them.
The sooner we realize how important the will of God is, the better for us. There's great reward both on earth and in heaven when we observe God's will and ordinances.
