Ahhh yes, that strange time of year, pregnant with consideration, with planning reflection, willingness to alter view points, willingness to take on change, to rise above, to live better.
That brief time between the 30th Dec and the 2nd of Jan, where so many thoughts are finalized.
What ever you got up to on new years, I hope that you found the time for some introspection, some trajectory analysis, and some planning.
It is always good to be aware of where one is coming from when planning how to get somewhere.
So in some way I hope that you found some this time for your self.
In my particular tale, I attended a lovely relaxed mid day drinks/games at a place being house-sat. Water pistols and Nerf guns, a pool, board games. Was lovely.
That evening we all clubbed together into 2 Ubers to head across the city to quite a remote location, a house unknown to most and people unknown to most, but the lure of a 'good party'.
After initially arriving some 8km away from our intended destination, and exploring a property we really had no business being on, we were saved from the middle of nowhere by a friend who had a vehicle nearby. We all crammed into the vehicle and finally arrived at the actual destination.
The party itself was lovely, green-lit pool, classic trance and electronic music played by a perhaps too fanatical DJ.
The house and property were large, wide lawns and excellence house design. All very spacious.
Some interesting highlights:
- Met many new people
- A friend of ours was fortunate to see a shooting star which she described as 'Very bright'; best description ever.
- Had a midnight swim
- Played with a powerful green laser pointer, one of the best parts of this (other than feeling like you were holding a green light saber), was an effect if caused when it was pulled across the smoking fire.
It illuminated a 2d cross section of the smoke! Which was a very cool visual. It reminded me at times of a green version of Kylo Ren's unstable lightsaber crystal, as well as an MRI scan. Truly something beautiful.
