This week's entry to the PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 23 is a photo from a "Walk along the Mühlwasser".

The Mühlwasser is a standing body of water on the edge of the Lobau in the north-east of Vienna. It was once a side arm of the Danube River, which, however, has no longer been connected to the Danube since 1875 due to the Danube regulation.

The area is a local recreation area in Vienna and invites you to go for a walk. Numerous small paths lead around the Mühlwasser. You can even go to the water in the more densely overgrown areas, but there are spacious meadows and also smaller bathing bays where you can easily go into the water in the warmer season.

It is particularly beautiful in spring when the different trees are in bloom, but also in autumn when the leaves change color.

Der dieswöchige Beitrag zum PhotoFeed Contest - Landschaftsfotografie Runde 23 ist ein Foto von einem "Spaziergang am Mühlwasser".

Das Mühlwasser ist ein heute ein stehendes Gewässer am Rand der Lobau im Nord-Osten von Wien. Einst handelte es sich um einen Seitenarm des Donauflusses, der allerdings seit 1875 durch die Donauregulierung keine Verbindung mehr zur Donau hat. Das Gebiet ist ein Naherholungsgebiet von Wien und lädt zum Spatzieren ein. Zahlreiche kleine Wege führen rund um das Mühlwasser. Man kann auch in den dichter bewachsenen Stellen immer wieder zum Wasser, allerdings gibt es weitläufige Wiesen und auch kleinere Bade-Buchten, an denen man in der wärmeren Jahreszeit leicht ins Wasser kann. Besonders schön ist es im Frühling, wenn die unterschiedlichen Bäume blühen, aber auch im Herbst, wenn sich das Laub verfärbt.
