i would have bought the 105mm AFS VR but it was 2.5x vs the price of 60mm AFD.
I am checking a 2nd hand nikkor 105mm f2.8D AFD lens on ebay. i plan to get one someday. just so i can maybe improve my macro shots. or at least make shooting easy and fast without the lighting problem of 60mm. 60mm will block the ext. flash lighting if i just use sb800 external flash. specially on 1:1 range. if people ask me wat lens to buy i would suggest 105mm or longer. thou i have not tried it yet. but i think its better. no lighting problem at 1:1. might be heavier thou. btw i shot handheld.

The only macro lens i used upto this day. i would like to try those 105mm macro lens. it might be heavier but i think it will help give more lighting to the subjects. specially on closeup like 1:1. on 60mm lens i need to be around 75mm to the subject and it tends to block the lighting. yes a ring light solves the problem. am hesitant to buy those cheap led ring light since i have sb800. i used it with a DIY flash bouncer diffuser.
I do live near a cemetary park. walking distance to my home. theres lots of trees and flowers for birds and insects to shoot :)
I walk there for an hour or two. To exercise and photograph.
