my 60mm f2.8D nikkor has min distance focus of 50~75mm. i do always try to be closed. specially for small insects. This one is big. i can afford to be 100mm away from the tip of the lens. using bigger

Thank you. i got the tamron 150~600 first gen. nah. am just a hobby photographer. but i wish i can have a pro lens :) I have a nikon 18~200mm before the tamron and i can feel the power of longer focal.

Hi, yes. i always use external flash nikon SB800 plus a DIY bouncer. the more lighting the sharper and easier it is. but sometimes the flash makes the photo look bad. :(
