When i started to shoot macro, year 2015. I went to a park and tried. took me maybe 4hrs plus and did not have good shots. i was chasing dragonflies and butterfly. i got tired but i persisted. still i did not get any good photo.
at night was checking some peoples photo and it made me think how they did it. i was really thinking and even dreamt of insectopia. i was surrounded by these beautiful insects :)
seriously, i just keep trying and learned that.
now, i can go to the park and it will just take me one hour and i go home with lots of photo.
oh. thou sometimes, if an insect visited me at home and my kids saw it. they will catch and put them in a plastic container for me to shoot. and i did. At first, i had a hard time. since they move and fly fast. then saw some videos on youtube. they do put the insect on refrigerator or freezer for sometime so that insects will not be so active. yep. some did freeze to death, my bad. now i know how much time is needed :)
Hope this info helps you guys.
