PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography #64 : Volcanic landscape on the island of Faial

This place is called Capalinhos and located on the Azorean island of Faial. In 1957 this place experienced a major earthquake. This eruption caused the island to grow with a couple of square kilometers. The landscape is still quite barren. The lighthouse you can see in the background was half burried. It's not in use anymore. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest @photofeed/photofeed-contest-landscape-photography-round-64
