These photos were taken in the Wat Si Saket monastery. It is believed to be the oldest monastery in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Builder Chao Anou was educated at the court in Bangkok, which has inspired him to build this monestary in Thai style. Therefore, it is believed that it may have contributed to the Siamese spared the monastery when they crushed Anou's revolt.
