I use Ubuntu for a few LAMP servers because its convenient for me, but I haven't used Ubuntu as a desktop in a really long time. I like PopOS, which is of course made from Ubuntu. That too is just a matter of convenience as its the one I have the best luck running discrete graphics on.
PopOS is a compromise too for me in that I prefer KDE and PopOS uses Ubuntu's KDE packages and they aren't the best representation of KDE at all.
