So after a long and DIFFICULT elimination the four teams from South America with a direct ticket to the 2018 FIFA World Cup have been selected. As of today this is how the qualifiers ended,
1.Brazil- 41pts
2.Uruguay- 31pts
3.Argentina- 28pts
4.Colombia- 27pts
5.Peru (Wildcard/TBD)- 26pts
So as a child of Colombian parents, my whole family and I are ecstatic that Colombia has yet another chance to play in what is the most viewed sporting event in the world.

Now, stepping out of my Colombian background, and stepping into a soccer fanatic role, my second favorite team has also made it to the World Cup!
ARGENTINA!

Argentina has clinched the No.3 spot with a hat-trick from the greatest player of our generation, Lionel Messi.
Arguably one of the most passionate countries in the world when it comes to soccer, now see a possibility for revenge after losing the 2014 World Cup to the German machines.
I call them machines because that is how the play (at least in my humble opinion). The Germans are dedicated and relentless; and obviously a force to be reckoned with!
Now that both of my teams are qualified, I believe its time to plan a summer trip to Russia next year to witness a sporting spectacle. It has always been my dream to go to a World Cup and finally at the age of 26, I see it as a possibility!
