Claudia should've just taken the title shot when she had the chance after defeating Karolina handily. You don't pass up those opportunities in MMA. Imagine Bisping said no to the Rockhold fight, he probably would've never become champion, he'd probably be retired now and would've missed the GSP paycheck.
Gadelha's game plan was flawed in my opinion. There are certain rules you shouldn't break in MMA, you don't play to your opponent's advantage. Don't strike with someone faster than you, don't clench with someone bigger than you, and don't wrestle or grapple with someone stronger than you. Why did Gadelha fight a game of strength with Jessica Andrade, I just don't get it.
Gadelha should've don'e what JJ did, at least at the beginning. Pick Andrade off from a distance. Gadelha isn't the striker JJ is but she is a better striker than Andrade in my opinion, definitely more technical. This reminds me of Nunes vs Shevchenko. Despite Shevchenko knowing that Nunes is notorious for gasing out, Shevchenko didn't push the pace, she stood back and let Nunes pace herself.
Congratulations to Andrade, she took the fight to Gadelha and did damage in every position. I was very impressed by her performance. Even though she got bloodied she maintained her composure and just fought a great fight.
