Andy agrees with me that Hive (Steem) is a lot of work. The thing is, Hive is not going to attract the vast majority of Twitter or Mastodon fans, the demographic you're looking for is Bloggers simply because Hive doesn't lend itself very well to Micro posts yes, you can do it, but it just doesn't have the same feel as Mastodon for example.

Another issue I have with Hive is when I submit a post it feels a bit like pushing a sailing boat out on a pond and praying it doesn't sink. Hive and Steemit for that matter foster an almost competition mentality in that whatever I create I try my hardest to present it in such a way as to hopefully achieve as many rewards as possible with "It's Friday!" which starts its life on my website I don't have the same trepidation feeling. I know I crosspost it to Hive but I also know it will be well received on Mastodon so I have no worry about it sinking.

When I post something to Twitter, Facebook or Mastodon obviously I hope someone at least reads it but I don't lose any sleep if nobody comments. On Hive, it depresses me the lack of interaction (Apart from yourself and stav@stav)
