Horizen is a cool new blockchain / crypto community that I recently discovered. Here are some cool features:
What's really neat -- and potentially critical for mass blockchain adoption -- is that in addition to its main public blockchain, it hosts a sidechain developer platform. What's great here is that you can build private sidechains in the language of your choice, rather than being restricted to / needing to learn a new one like Solidity [Etherum], Michelson [Tezos], CX [Skycoin], etc.
Horizen's native token, ZEN -- While I have yet to see how this aspect matches up against the likes of Monero, Dash and Zcash, this is a major selling-point for privacy hawks like myself.
