Scientists at McGill University and the Canadian laboratory "HRL" invented a device to develop the cognitive abilities of the brain.
The US Department of Defense's Project Management and Scientific Research Department has funded the project of designing an electrical stimulator for the brain.
The device uses an effective power supply on the frontal cortex of the cerebral cortex, which is responsible for cognitive functions such as information retention, attention and decision-making. The use of this device has increased the interconnectivity between different regions of the brain, which in turn has helped in rapid learning.
The electrodes are installed on the head without any surgical intervention.
The device was tested on monkeys, where they were asked to locate food containing light signals. The animals made 22 attempts before they were related to signs and food. After exposure to the effect of the electric stimulus, she was able to learn this after only 12 attempts.
Researchers hope to use their method more widely, including in the armed forces.
