No, formal education does not make you stronger and smarter or more insightful about how the country should be run. So Stop using ‘educated’ as a proof of intelligence. It’s very classist & just wrong. There has been inequality since the beginning even before the inception of capitalism even during medieval times. And there will always be inequality. Beacuse some people are more hard working and intelligent than others

And so many of my students are taught that inequality is a 'natural' part of the system an unfortunate necessity. Hard to convince them but that there is nothing 'natural' about inequality. It is necessary for capitalism to function, yes, but there is nothing natural about that Some of the worst people, the people who are destroying this country and our planet, have the highest levels of formal education. It's not just education on its own that is much important then other ways.
