TotallyNotMark seems to care mostly about the main story line and the bigger picture (I remember he had the same perspective on One Piece as well), usually when Hunter x Hunter is mentioned people talk about the antagonists (Chrollo, Hisoka, the Chimera Ants, etc), Mark instead spends large chunks of his videos discussing Gon and Killua, I noticed he barely talks about side characters unless they serve the man story line. Of course I'm not criticizing him on that, in fact, I find his videos interesting because he has different takes than most people.
I agree with you on how the sketchy drawings convey speed, personally I find even Hunter x Hunter's "bad" pages charming in a way (maybe because they make me feel like I can draw too 😂).
I see you prefer the 2011 version, personally, if we ignore the Chimera Ant Arc then I prefer the older adaptation for various reasons (music and atmosphere being the biggest ones), but as BobSamurai (a youtuber) said: The 1999 version looks better at its best, but the 2011 is more consistent with its quality.
