Not only is God all-powerful, He could crush evil in an instant. And not only is God all good, meaning that he has the plan to prosper you and not to harm you, and He doesn't want to withhold any good thing from you, but in terms of these two things, God is not just good and powerful, God is also merciful.
Living with confidence means living a life of faith. Confidence is actually translated from two Latin words put together to make one word. The first part is "con", which means "with"; the second part is "fidio", which means "faith." Therefore, being confident means to live with faith. If you want to thrive while others struggle, then your confidence and faith can only be found one place, and that place is in God. All other resources may fail, but God has never failed.
The Bible states, “You who love the LORD, hate evil!” (Psalm 97: 10). In our modern world, it seems, the only thing one church is really good at hating is another church across the street. It should go without saying that it is a massive waste of energy for people of biblical values and faith to fight against each other when there is an entire world that is lost and dying and in desperate need of hope. But, the Ephesian Christians did not hate the people in the Nicolaitan group. They hated the deeds of these misguided people. Plainly stated, hating a sinner is wrong and contrary to the example Christ set. The book of Romans reminds us that Christ loved us while we were yet sinners. So we, as believers, must also.
You need to know that the enemy is indeed a defeated foe. He has been defeated from the very beginning. You and I have the authority of God's Word. We have the authority of His blood. We have the power to pull down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
