For Broken Hearts, a Prayer!
Dear God, heal all broken hearts,
touch and repair all damaged emotions.
For all the used souls,
please be peace - be light!
Teach them to endure this brokenness
for the joy that you have set before them.
Remember to dry their secret tears.
As their hearts burn every night,
remind them of your unfailing love.
In the midst of their great loss,
remind them of Job and his restoration.
As they have no one to speak for them now,
please be their mouthpiece.
The pains of a wasteful emotional investment
is dire my Lord,
teach them to live each day at a time;
to take one leg and then another.
Give them hope - any hope at all!
They said that to have truly loved,
is to have truly lived,
make them like unto the proverbial cat with nine lives.
Let them enjoy love again - bigger and better.
Father, please heal all broken hearts,
touch and repair all damaged emotions.
For all the used souls,
please be peace - be light.
Dry all secret tears!
Please do this,
because all the world wants to hear is
"I'm fine!"
