The importance of marriage cannot be overemphasised, as it is an integral part of our society. While some feel that an adult can marry at any age, I, however, believe that getting married before the age of 30 is best for both the individual and the society for three reasons.
Firstly, early marriage gives more time for the couple to settle in their life. Many advocates of late marriage hold that one can settle after marriage. However, in my opinion, it is often not easy to find a job with a good salary. Most of the times one has to relocate several times to get a stable job. Take young engineers for example. They might try several jobs before sticking with the job they like the most.
Another reason is more tax generation. Although I concede that couples who marry late contribute in nation building through tax payment, those who marry early generally give more taxes as these couples try to get permanent jobs before marriage. People usually purchase a house, a car and other basic amenities before getting married. This trend generates more tax revenues for the government.
However, perhaps the biggest reason to marry before 30 is physical health. The people before the age of thirty are usually more healthy, which means that they give birth to healthy children. Healthy population ask for less medical care from the government, and the government can spend that money to build infrastructure.
In short, not only do early marriages give more time for the couple to settle in their life, but they also give birth to healthy children. Therefore, I agree that it is best both for the individual and for the society if people marry before they are 30years of age
