I have been using Rancher 1.x for a few years managing a dozen companies docker based cloud infrastructure.
The Rancher 2.x system is a completely new and re-coded version entirely based on Kuberenetes. The simplicity of creation/deployment or import of a new k8s cluster across a multitude of cloud providers or on-premise systems is just mind blowing.
Managing workloads and pipelines is just as easy, and more features are added continously.
If you have dockerized workloads I can highly recommend spinning up a test cluster and check it out for yourself.
