The fire smoke yesterday was no joke. The wind must have changed directions because we had been smoke free a few days. A friend of mine owns property with a compound of Air BnB’s right by Index. The fire got super close to their place. Fortunately all is safe at the moment, but I can’t remember ever having a fire on the west side of the pass vs the east.
