Well, euthanasia is legal via legislation in 9 states and DC. Montana also allows it because doctors are not held legally liable for providing euthanasia services.
The mother of a good friend of mine in Toronto made this choice for herself in 2020. There is a pretty involved procedure required to make the choice, and 2 guys babbling on a 3 speak video doesn’t really capture the real experience of choosing medical assistance in dying. If you can choose to prolong your life with invasive medical procedures, I think you should be able to choose the opposite in the face of a painful, debilitating life ending illness. Another reason (either way) to have a written medical directive for one’s own end of life care.
