Over the years, we have adopted perhaps a bit too much from our friends in America. I mean this in every respect... ideas from the Left and Right (and all over the place) have been adopted in Australia... we see the division in America, and the ideas from that land may be better suited to the land that they originated in.

I totally agree with this. I see Australian news or see banter in Australian chat rooms and am always surprised to see American political arguments influencing arguments and division in Australia. It is so weird. And sad. And baffling.

And every time I see it happen all I can think is, surely you have your own stuff to fret and argue about. Why are you letting our crazy make you crazy? 😄
