Emus are cool but they always freak me out a little. It’s one thing to have a seagull or parrot come for your food… it is an entirely other thing when a massive emu thinks you have a tasty treat! The zoo near where I lived in Australia used to let their emus free roam the property. I was not a fan.

Once we saw a flock of them in the wild in the mountains. Such an unusual sight for this little American.
