I am American but my husband is Aussie and we lived in Australia for the first few years of our marriage. The first silver coin I bought myself was the 2017 koala. Then I became obsessed and got all of the previous years and following years of the koala coins (1oz only). The koala was my gateway into coin collecting. I had no idea the first few originally came on a paper card!

I really love Aussie coins and I think I stack mostly as a collector vs an investor. Last time we were back in Aus (Nov 2019) I picked up some sweet silver coins from the Sydney Olympics. Definitely in the collection stack will never sell category. 🥰
