My head is exploding. Three vote requests in one post!!! 😂🤣🤣

Vote one: YES - I am happy to cull but would like to cull completely inactive members first. 6 months no post, no comment on anything is a good first cut and takes 40 people off the list. I know this cause I checked every account a week ago.

Vote Two: NO - I like cooling off, but don’t think it will help. If some one can fake it long enough to become a member they can fake it long enough to get through the cool off. As one of the last two people to currently approve all members I try to be super thoughtful about who gets on our list so we don’t have to cut them later. If you have specific examples of people getting on you think scammed the system plead DM me. Or me and Ray. That would be helpful going forward.

Vote: 3 NO - @ssg-community votes should not be given for free. I like that we pay for ssg-community subscriptions as a benefit of membership but have the vote trail on the @myprecious account as a gift to all. To me this keeps things clean and less confusing. For this reason I don’t support ever going back to free vote on ssg-community. Even after a cull.

@ironshield makes a good point about the delegations and how things are going to change after HF21.

Related I worry about people “shit posting” metals content just to meet some minimum metals post requirement. After HF21 downvotes are going to be free and people will be targeting “shit posts”. So if someone just throws up an image of a dime with no real written content that might not fly in post HF21 land.

Here’s a controversial one....

I don’t think we should keep members who delegate to precious but have zero involvement posting about metals or engaging with the community. The bot is a benefit of membership, not a guarantee of future membership in my mind. I was looking at delegators to @ssg-community the other day and was shocked by a couple names.People who post every day but I would have no idea were ever ssg. I would boot folks like that despite the size of their delegations.
