Well my friends, Aftermas is the aftermath of Christmas. Maybe your tree is still up (but it has started to smell). All the wrapping paper and bows are in the recycling. The box of chocolates you got from santa, only half a coconut cream and some crunchy toffee thing you don’t really like remain. We “celebrate” this time of year by opening all of the gifts that were delayed by Amazon and the mail!
So again I say….
In the spirit of this celebration, I have two recent mail arrivals to share. One was a surprise from a known sender. One was expected from an unknown sender.
I was so surprised to receive this gift and card a few days after the new year. It came from Hive’s Queen of silver, Ms. @silversaver888. The “coin” is a one oz., .999 fine silver round featuring an emoji snowman! I love Christmas, and I love Christmas silver. Saver, thank you for sending this thoughtful card and awesome gift! ❤️ ❄️ ⛄️
Next item in the mail call arrived yesterday! It is my Secret Santa gift from the Silver Gold Stackers of Hive Secret Santa Gift exchange! 🎅🏻 This community event was started five years ago on Steemit by @welshstacker, and it continues to be one of my favorite off block, blockchain activities.
The gift was a bit delayed as the package arrived from overseas. 🏴 Inside there were two new pieces of silver, one a .999 fine Athenian owl round, the other a 1/4oz .999 fine Lydian Lion round (replicates an image of the world’s oldest coin). There were also four old silver coins: 1942 Two Shillings, 1946 One Shilling, 1932 Six Pence (none the richer 🤣😂) and a 1941 Three Pence. Oh wait… is that supposed to be pronounced thruh-puntz? 😄 🇬🇧
