It has been snowing here in the PNW of the USA since the day after Christmas. We have six or seven inches on the ground with high temperatures in the low twenties (Fahrenheit). It’s not normal for here, but it is all kinds of awesome. 😍
Speaking of loving snow and Christmas… a month or so ago I saw an “item.” This item was the perfect mix of snow and Christmas! I couldn’t stop thinking about the item. I thought about it, and thought about it, and then thought about it some more. Then one day I said, “BUGGER THIS”, and pulled the trigger to make it mine… 🤤
WARNING: CLICKBAIT! I made it seem like this post is about winter and snow but it is really about me splurging and shopping! 😄
By now I am sure you have guessed the item is a coin. It is a coin and a piece of art! Check out the 2021 Perth Mint Australia Christmas Wonderland coin.
This beauty is 2oz of .9999 pure hand antiqued silver. The snowflake in the center rotates (just like a compass) and is plated in 24k gold! There are also 24k gold accents in various elements around the coin like the building windows and fairy lights. This is coin #1697 out of 2500 minted.
OK, it is kind of weird that an Australian Christmas coin features such a wintery scene. You’d think it would be all beaches and prawns. Instead it is SNOWFLAKES ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ and villagers awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus!
As an aside, this coin reminds me of the classic Burl Ives Christmas song “Silver and Gold”.
☝🏻Watch this! 😍 Must see Christmas TV.
