It may not look like this 5 days ago. It was a dirty pond. No water falls. Stagnant. 3 fishes only. And it was not not good at sight.
The water pump is broken maybe it was more than 6 months ago. And I cannot replaced it quickly. Back then, it was an unhappy fish pond. And my attention is not focused on it for a long time. And it was my mistake I know.
Before
Actually, I did not take photo of it before I started cleaning it. I really forgot to take photo. I remembered that I can share this here while I'm in the middle of cleaning it.

Back then, the water lettuce invaded the fish pond. It provided the oxygen that fishes needs even there is no water pump working.
The Cleaning
This was delivered last Tuesday and I work on it as it arrived. It was a gift from my daughter. She asked me of what I want for Christmas and my birthday (Dec.26), and I said I want our mini fish pond to bring back to life.
Believe it or not, this was cleaner than it was when I started cleaning it. Yes it is still dirty but what more if i didn't take out more of its dirt?
This is some of the dirts I cleaned out of the pond. Yes, it is just some of it. Do you imagined how dirty it was? Haha
Using fish net to collect some bigger dirts, I combined my effort and these two filters to clean the water faster.
I also brushed and cleaned the rocks. Its quite relaxing to see it cleaned.
I was cleaner. Maybe it's looked like already cleaned, but believe me, it was cleaner. Haha
I added more water to fill the pond.
Time passed and the water is more cleaner. Now I just wait for the work of the filter whick I cleaned and washed it from time to time.
Now it is time to place back the rocks.
It is already looks better. Right?
Now I wait. For a better cleaned water. I should to to a local pet shop to buy some fishes and hoping that it will be cleaner when I get back.
I bought a gold fish and some mollies. The seller said that the mollies are 'Mickey Mouse' strain. I don't know why but and I can't see why it's called that. Haha.
I placed the plastic with fishes on the pond. The process is called acclimatized. The process where they slowly adopt the temperature of their new environment.
After 15 minutes, I free them from the plastics and let them join others to their new home. I hope they get along with each others.
After a day, the water is much cleaner. And the fishes got along with each other. And I was happy about that.
I also added back some water lettuce on the fishes' home. It will help to distribute oxygen on their environment.
The Result
I'm happy to see that my mini fish pond is now beautiful and working again.
