Earlier, my 2 brothers, Nan and Oti, with our friend Bob visited me at my house. They asked me to join them to visit the small falls near my place.
It is so small that I think it is not to be called a falls. But locals calls it Pahalang Falls and they knew better than me. It is located here at Barangay Santo Cristo, San Jose del Monte, Province of Bulacan, Philippines.
The place is just a half kilometer away from my house. And it took me years to discover this nature spot. I was been living in my house since 2013 and I only discovered this place last year.
The good thing about this place is the budget. It is not free but almost. The entrance fee for this place is only 20 pesos, it is less than 0.50 USD.
They also offers cottages. A bamboo hut cost 200 pesos or $4 on day stay and 500 pesos or $10 for a day and overnight stay. But the good thing is, it is only optional. We can always enjoy the place by just looking for a shade to stay. Under a tree is good and that is what we did.
We brought our hammocks with us. But the place don't have much trees to hang our hammocks. It is good that we found a good spot for just two hammocks.
My brother Nan also brought small kettle and coffee. The place has its narural clean water for us to boil for our coffee.
The place have so many visitors. Most are young people who did not go to school because it is still holiday today here in the Philippines. A very long weekends for us since holy wednesday.
My brother Oti is ready to swim. And I captured some photo of him while on the shallow spot of the river.
And our friend Bob and my brother Nan didn't waste time and took their selfie shots with the good nature.
3 hours later, we already back home. Bob needs to go to his work in the late afternoon and we just visited the place for my brother Nan to see the place. He is planning for another nature trip for him and his wife anniversary. And I think that is bonding at its best for family.
