DEXBot Visualisers and Charts - March 2019
Permie

Exciting new developments for DEXBot!
Two new DEXBot team members have been recruited for their skills in building chart and visualisation tools.

Charts for Staggered Orders and charts for Relative Orders will be developed concurrently by these two devs independently with oversight from the Lead Developer.

Mountain Mode Visualiser for Staggered Orders

The graph will show a visual display of the portion of a DEXBot workers orderbook that belongs to the user. That is, all open orders + virtual orders placed within a Staggered Orders Mountain Mode strategy.
The profit or losses of a Staggered Orders strategy are noticeable in the size of each individual order.
If a ludicrous hypothetical SO strategy made 1 million% profit, the size of the users orders on the book would be far larger than before. Thus the profit or loss is noticeable in the size of the users personal orderbook.
Mountain Mode reinvests profits in orders surrounding the current market price like building a wall brick by brick. As the strategy fills orders, the length/size of the orders surrounding the centre price will increase.

Charting Tools for Relative Orders Strategy Over Time

Our second new team member is developing charting and visualisation tools for the performance of a Relative Orders Strategy over time.
JR Pasch was a DEXBot telegram user who posted some very interesting snapshots of personal graphing tools that they had developed.
After a private discussion, JR has been contracted to develop these tools to work with DEXBot.

This is a great example of how new developers can get involved with DEXBot and demonstrates the beauty of open source projects!

In order to have a consistent charting library standard for DEXBot and to keep ongoing maintenance low Altair will be used for the visualisations. https://github.com/altair-viz/altair
And Pandas will be used for handling chart data. https://github.com/pandas-dev/pandas
