As we make our way to our first gig in Enchede, spirits are high. We played a good set at our Radio/Video interview two nights prior. In South Africa we usually play a 45min set. Now we play two 45 min slots.
Our first set consists of songs from our first two albums as well as some covers. As we pull into Cafe Rocks, we really start to get a feel for the venue! Its fucking awesome! Its very similar to a bar in Cape Town called, Aces and Spades. Small, cozy and rock and ROLL. We are greeted by a very friendly sound guy called Ali. After sound check its the long wait till 11:30. The first set was absolutely amazing. People were standing in front of the stage waiting for us to perform. This was an amazing feeling and definitely helped with the moral on stage. By the last two songs people are off their feet and dancing. the place is packed.
We have a quick 15min break to have a cigarette and a beer. As I make my way outside i'm greeted with a lot of compliments and praise. Also, someone that is baffled that our entire band is caucasian. This made me laugh.
Our second set kicks off with a banger! We continue the energy throughout the set and get 2 encores. Here is our setlist.
