Yo All
I try to avoid posting Rants here, because this is a mildly infuriating community. We have already a rant community, I think I should not post anything "Heavy" here. If I have something that is quite heavy, I usually store them in drafts and later will adjust some of the content to make it lighter.
We all have a bank account, some of us have more than two accounts. It is something that common everywhere. And it is common too if sometime those accounts do not work properly. For example, my account somehow got blocked and could not do anything with it due to some bugs...
When shit things like that happens, we come to customer service... I would not talk about the case, because it is not a mildy infuriating one, it would lead to hard harsh talk and rants... But I will talk about something else...
So this was the customer service I visited last week. It was quite empty. and we could only see one person there. Actually I was the fourth visitors there, and that guy was the second one.
I came very early because... you know for sure... we only come early because we want things to be done quickly as soon as possible...
There was not anyone there on the counter. I did not come very early, as I came 30 minutes after their gate opened. However they were actually there, hiding behind those desk.
Suddenly their office boy or errand staff came and delivering some porridge to the tables.
As you can see from my picture here, he talked to someone who was hiding behind those desk. I overheard he was asking if she wanted a specific drink or wanted more porridge.
Ok here the part I want to share here... I don't get what they have in their head. Banking is a service industry, I know some might insist it is a financial industry, but basically what they offer is service in financial sector.
So I do not get how on earth they think it is ok to eat in front of their customer. I am in construction industry, even I do not eat in front of my clients. That's rude, but those people do not think like that lol.
I know Customer Service is a harsh environment, people come with their emotion or temperament at peak and those customer service staffs want to greet those people while chewing their food in their mouth?
I close this post with a good thing. Someone there really fought for me against the IT head quarter saying it is a bug that happens on my account and he insisted without a full reset my account could not work. So at least it was a happy ending for me.
Or maybe I could get this happy ending because he had his full belly after eating a warm porridge in front of me lol
Anyway do any of you eat in front of your client while working like them too?
