Bottom left leg
If you notice I've managed to keep the horizontal part that from the front to the back of the leg there.
So there is a slight different and because I still haven't finalized my idea for the leg I will let it be for now.
I have a choice between keeping that part there which means I have to attach it on the other leg or cut this one and then detail it later.
However, if I cut this long part the inside of the leg will be somewhat visible which means I have to fill in the gaps with something.

Getting ready for modification
Now that the leg parts have been split into several piece, I can start modifying them one by one.
I think I will start with scratch building the thigh, knee and articulation for them.
I'll start with a few sketches to get some idea of what the new thigh should look like. And I will browse online for piston like structure.
Although I could just copy paste this idea from MG Delta Plus. But one thing for sure I would rather scratch build it than sacrificing one kit just for a few part.

Ideas for new thigh
This is a rough idea for the new thigh. From here I know I will need to think how to build a knee with 2 joints and piston like structure to support the back of the knee.
I'll probably use some gunpla runer to make the piston with casing made from pla plates cemented together.
Notice I've scribed some panel line there on the upper right side of the leg. I will trim this part just to give it a little bit of detail.
Also this sketch is 1:1 meaning I can just eyeball it with the actual piece it will be connecting with later. It is easier for me rather than going to the process of prototyping and test fitting later only to find out it is out of proportion.

Here I am kind of measuring if the connector will fit into this new thigh.
I am going to bury the connector into the thigh so it will be permanently embedded there.
I think this will need a lot of precision and surely will be a good experience on my next project.
