Devil Gundam: Making Articulation for Piston [Leg Modification - Part 41]

Hi guys!

Today I will clean up a bit then make a small detail using pla plates for the piston. So here are updates on Project Devil Gundam!

This articulation is pretty much done. All I have to do next is clean up the excess pla rods there little bit .

Then remake the small details using pla plates, just to fill in the small gaps on the edge of the piston.

Think of this detail as a trimming of the bottom part of that articulation which will be cemented perpendicular.

Honestly I'm not sure how to explain it but I will take a picture when its done later.

I will need to split these in half and then adjust it manually with each piston.

Since these has the same length with the original piece so adjustment is necessary.

Using nipper I trim off the excess pla rods that are sticking out.

Then I file down the rest of it until the surface is smooth.

Mind I clean up all the surface including the pla plates that is sandwich in between.

Using tamiya thin cement I melt the plastic together. And I make sure that the articulation is spot on the center of the piston.

I'm not using use tamiya regular cement for this one since it will be quite a mess.

And most likely will be quite hard to clean up since the parts are quite small so thin cement is the way to go for this one.

I apply the cement several times hoping that the bond will be strong enough when cured later.

Tomorrow I will cement the details and the whole mechanism to the thigh. And so this is my updates for today on this Devil Gundam x Neue Ziel Project.
